Baptism Under The Stars

by Connection News | | News

On Wednesday, August 15, Calvary Albuquerque was blessed to observe both Communion and Baptism. After Pastor Skip's timely message from Matthew 26 about the last Passover meal before Jesus' crucifixion, we remembered Christ's sacrifice for us as we took the Lord's Supper. After service, we headed outdoors for a beautiful Baptism Under the Stars. Pastor Kenny Riley and Sandy Dunn provided worshipful background music as nearly fifty believers lined up to demonstrate their faith by identifying through baptism with the death, burial, and resurrection of Christ. Pastor Skip and the pastoral staff were honored to hear short testimonies and affirmations of faith from each of those baptized, and the congregation gathered in the amphitheater to share support and encouragement.
