Thank you.  Good morning, it's an honor to be with you guys this weekend.  It's been an honor every time that you--your pastor has invited me here.  I'm just so grateful to skip and to lend you for their friendship and kindness to my wife, Lynn, the boys and I, and to the Joshua Fund team that we minister with.  Blessing Israel and her neighbors, in the name of Jesus according to Genesis 12 Verses 1, 2, 3.  Obviously, those are the famous verses where God said he will bless those who bless the Children of Abraham and curse those who curse them.

And so, of course for Lynn and the boys and myself, we thought, well, we should know what side of that equation we want to be on and skip it when you bless their hearts.  They have made that same commitment even years before where we did.  This is a critical thing though.  It's not a small thing.  We've been talking about in part one last night, part two this morning of the series is--there's an intense battle.  It's not new, but it's intensifying this battle over whether God even loves the Jews or just cut them loose.

Let's just recap.  He hasn't cut them loose.  God loves the Jewish people and he said--he has loved them with an everlasting love.  And I'm just thinking, I don't have a doctorate, but I don't know, I think everlasting probably means everlasting, right?  That's just me.  And now, there's a battle over whether God gave the land to the Jewish people, the Promised Land.  But God said, and we went over it in detail this morning, that he not only gave the land to the Jewish people, but he gave it to them "As an everlasting possession."

Now again, I'm just thinking, doesn't everlasting mean everlasting?  Which--but yeah, this battle remains, there's this intensifying battle over--but one by radical Islam to annihilate Israel and the Jewish people, and by some in the church worldwide to delegitimize Israel through replacement theology.

This idea that God is done with the Jews, there is no more special favor for Israel or the Jewish people and that God has replaced his love for the Jewish people with the church exclusively.  And we've talked about how that's not true and yet this hatred continues.

In John 16, it's a very interesting passage, John 16 Verses 2 and 3, the Lord Jesus is speaking to his disciples.  He was speaking about a very specific context at that moment about the persecution that the early followers of Jesus were going to experience from some other countrymen, but he says something interesting, "An hour is coming for everyone who kills you to think that he is offering service to God.  These things they will do because they have not known the Father or me."

This is interesting.  An hour is coming when everyone who kills you thinks they're doing a service for God.  I believe that while one of those fulfillments of that prophecy was certainly at the time of the Book of Acts when the disciples again were really struggling.  The Apostle Paul was killing--well, he wasn't the Apostle Paul yet--he as Saul, he was killing Jewish believers in Jesus and he thought he was doing a service to God.  He was arresting them, persecuting them and the Lord then changed his heart, Amen.

Now, we live in a day where radical Muslims believe that by killing Jews, by killing Israel, by annihilating Israel, they are doing a service to God.  Why?  Because--why do they feel that way?  It's because the Lord says.  They do this because they don't know the Father or the Son, the Lord Jesus Christ.

So, they don't have a love for Israel and the Jewish people.  They don't know how Israel is the apple of God's eye.  This threat of radical Islam is very, very serious.  The first two messages we talked about the threat of replacement theology, but I want to talk about this threat of radical Islam and why the people hate Israel and the Jewish people so much.  They certainly do.

Generally of course, all Muslims don't hate Israel and the Jewish people.  Let's just be really clear.  The vast majority of Muslims are moderate, they're peaceful.  Now, some people think that's controversial when I say that, but I've done an enormous amount of research, traveled extensively through the region.  Iraq, four times.  Afghanistan, Egypt, Turkey, Morocco, Jordan, the Palestinian areas, in the West Bank or Judea and Samaria and I wrote a book last year called Inside the Revolution.  Taking you inside the Muslim world to try to understand it better and based on enormous amount of research, it's over a 500 page book.  I feel confident saying the vast majority, 90+% of Muslims do not want to wage Islamic Jihad, a violent holy war against Jews or Christians.

But there is the subset that do and they look to the Koran and other text and they say, "No, no, this means, we're supposed to wage this hatred," and particularly, a hatred against Jewish people.

In the Koran, it describes that Jewish people as descendants of apes and monkeys.  I mean this is where this comes from.  Again, not that all Muslims feel this way, but there's a percentage that do, and what's interesting is that in Iran, the Mayors of Iran currently believe three things.  They are not just Muslims.  They are Shia Muslims, which are about 15% of the Islamic world totally, 85% or so are Sunni Muslims, 15% are Shia Muslims.  And they're based mostly in Iran, Iraq, the Persian Gulf region and sort of what they call a Shia arc that starts in the Persian Gulf area and then goes up to Syria and then down into Lebanon right to the border of Israel.

So, 15% of Muslims worldwide are Shia Muslims and they all believe that their Messiah is coming one day in the end of days and they refer to him as the Mahdi or the promised one or the Twelfth Imam.  And they believe that he's coming and that he's going to establish a global caliphate, a one world government that is run by the Twelfth Imam.  All religious Shia Muslims believe this.  But there is a subset within Shias known as Twelvers.

Now the Twelvers, they only just believe that the Twelfth Imam is coming one day.  They believe three things, if you boil it down.  One, they believe that the end of days has come.  It's not far off.  The end of time has arrived.  Second, they believe that this Twelfth Imam, their so-called Islamic Messiah is going to be revealed to the world at any moment, not hundreds, or thousands of years away, but they believe it's imminent that the leaders of Iran are using the term imminent in the last few years to say, "This is right on top of us."  Third, they believe that the way to hasten or accelerate, to speed up the coming, the revelation of this Twelfth Imam on earth is to annihilate two countries, Israel which they call the Little Satan and the United States, which in there end time theology is the Great Satan.

Now, I've written this new novel, The Twelfth Imam to try to sort of imagine what in the world do these guys are talking about and what would it look like if these things played out?
What if the world waits too long and doesn't take decisive action, and Iran's leaders do in fact acquire, develop nuclear weapons.  They already have high-speed ballistic missiles.  Were they to get nuclear warheads also and attach those to the missiles they could do in about six minutes when it took Adolf Hitler nearly six years to do and that is to kill nearly six million Jews in Israel, and that's what even their main objective.  That's just the Little Satan in their view.

We, us the Americans are the Great Satan.  That we are their ultimate objective, but this is dangerous.  So, this novel sort of takes you into this world.  What if Iran gets these weapons?  And moreover, what if this Twelfth Imam actually comes to earth?

Now, some of you might be thinking, "You're a follower of Jesus Christ up there, aren't you?"  Yes, I am.  "And so, you think Jesus is the Messiah, don't you?"  Yes, absolutely I do.  "So, why would you write a book about sort of positing that the Islamic Messiah would come?"

Well, that's because in Mathew Chapter 24, when Jesus is giving a whole list of signs that will precede his own coming, he warns of wars, rumors of wars, nations rising against nations, all kinds of traumas, natural disasters, persecution of the believers, the spread of the gospel, all kinds of things will be happening.  But three times in Matthew 24, Jesus warns a false Messiah is coming in the last days, false prophets, false teachings, and in fact, the third time that Jesus mentions this, he mentions specifically--well, let's just read it.

Matthew Chapter 24, Verse 23, beginning, then if anyone says to you, "Look, here is the Messiah," or, "There he is," do not believe him, for false Messiahs and false prophets will arise.  Not might arise, not could arise, there's a 60/40 chance, 51/49, no.  Jesus is saying false Messiahs and false prophets will arise.

Well, they're not really going to deceive anyone right away.  Well yes, they're going to deceive many.  We read back up in Verse 5, it says, many will come in my name saying I'm the Messiah and will mislead many.  Back to Verse 24, so these fall Messiahs will arise.  Well, they're not going to have any demonstration for the supernatural powers, right?

Well, actually it says, "They will show great signs and wonders, so as to mislead if possible even the elect.  Behold, I've told you in advance."  So, if they say to you, "Look, he's in the wilderness."  Don't go out there.  Or, "Look, he's in the inner rooms."  Do not believe them for just as the lightning comes from the East and flashes, even to the West, so the coming of the Son of Man be.

You match that with 1 Thessalonians 4, where the Lord tells us that when Jesus comes for us, he's going to descend from heaven and we--well, of course, the dead (in Christ) will rise, but be resurrected.  And we who are still around at that moment, those of us who have received Jesus Christ as our personal Lord and savior, that we're born again and we happen to be living at the moment when Jesus begins to descend, we will be caught up with those who are being resurrected and we will meet Jesus in the air.

Now, Jesus is saying false Messiahs are going to come in the last day.  They're even going to be able to do some supernatural activities to sort of deceive people and draw them up, but if somebody says, "Go out to the wilderness, out to Mecca, or Iraq or Iran, I think the Messiah has come."  Or "Look!  He's having a special conference in wherever."  Don't go there.  If you're not in the air, it's not him!

It's fairly clear, right?  But, even though that's true, it doesn't get around the question that there are people who believe that not only is there, what we know to be a false Messiah coming, but their level of hatred is so intense, they literally believe that you need to annihilate Israel, the Jewish people from the face of the earth.  We've seen that from Mahmoud Ahmadinejad from the Supreme Leader of Iran, the Ayatollah Khamenei, Khamenei this summer in July even said that he had met personally with the Twelfth Imam.

Nobody knows what he's talking about.  Did he meet with a person?  Did he see a vision or a dream, some sort of spirit?  I don't know.  But he believes this is true and they are building for the moment, for an apocalyptic, horrifying war to wipe Israel off the map.  But still, where does that hatred come from?

I mean, why should they even care?  How many times is Jerusalem mentioned in the Koran?  Zero.  It's mentioned over 800 times in the Bible, no wonder we think it's important because God thinks it's important.  Jerusalem is literally not mentioned in the Koran.  Why?  All right, so where does this come from?  And why are we at an hour where people or radical Muslims, not all Muslims, but radical Muslims, believe they're doing a service to God to kill Jews and destroy Israel.

Well, this is not the first time in human history that an Iranian, Persian leader has threatened to annihilate the Jewish people.  Turn with me for a moment to the Old Testament, to the Book of Esther.  And we look at Esther Chapter 3, very interesting.  There's a supreme leader described in this chapter, King Achashverosh or King Xerxes is the Greek version.  And he's got a Prime Minister or a President.  The number two guy and his name is Haman.  These are not guys that are friendly to Jews, okay?

Now, what's interesting is the President decides, "We've got to kill these Jews."  And so, what does he do?  Verse 6, "Haman sought to destroy all the Jews, the people of Mordecai who are throughout the whole Kingdom of Achashverosh, throughout the Persian, Iranian Empire at that time.  And in Verse 13, we even get a more precise example or case, summary of what he wants to do.  Letters were sent by couriers to all the king's provinces throughout the Persian Empire to destroy, to kill and to annihilate all the Jews, both young and old, including women and children in one day.  They set a date, they set a goal, they sent the word out, they set into motion a plan, a plot to not just kill and destroy, but to annihilate the Jewish people.

Now, why does this word annihilate resonate in the hearts of radical Muslims and particularly the current leaders of Iran?  When you look at events worldwide or current events or particularly, if you look at events in the epicenter in the Middle East, if you look at them only through geopolitical lenses or only through economic lenses, I would argue that you really can't see in three dimensions.  Only when you look at events also through what I call the third lens, the lens of the Bible, the lens of Scriptures that things become a little clearer.

When we look through all these lenses, we see its core, this hatred for the Jewish people, for the nation of Israel.  It's not driven by a battle over land, or power, or money, or influence.  Those are certainly things that come up that are sighted, but this is not--Satan hated the Jewish people.  The Persians hated the Jewish people and wanted to annihilate them when Israel didn't exist.  That's in the Book of Esther, the Jews are in exile.  Why did Hitler want to annihilate the Jewish people?  There wasn't an Israel.  Israel didn't occupy any land.  They're not violating any UN resolutions.  This was not about lands.

When you look at this issue through the third lens of Scripture, it becomes clear that this hatred for Israel, this hatred for the Jewish people is satanically driven.  This is driven from the depths of hell itself.

Now, in John Chapter 10, Verse 10, we get a snapshot of the difference between Satan and our Lord Jesus Christ.  Famous verse, we often use it in evangelism.  It's useful in this context, John 10:10, "The thief comes only to steal and kill, and destroy."  But Jesus said, "But I came that they may have life and have it abundantly."

There in one sentence, you get a lot of rich theology.  These two, our Lord Jesus Christ and Satan are polar opposites of each other.  Jesus came that we might have life and have it abundantly.  Here and now, and for all eternity, if we'll give our life to him and receive him, and his death on the cross as payment for our sins, his resurrection from the dead is proof that he is truly the Messiah.  He is truly the savior.  He is truly the only way to get to the heaven and spend eternity with the Father.  That's Jesus' role to bring that good news, to be that good news, to be the word incarnate.  Satan's role only is to be a thief.  He comes to rob, kill and destroy.

Now, once you understand that in one sentence, all of the theology of Jesus Christ versus Satan from Genesis to Revelation, it's captured in John 10:10.  Now, let's apply it to this individual situation.  If Satan is the exact opposite of our Lord Jesus Christ, then he wants the exact opposite of what God wants, right?

So God shows the Jewish people to bless us and Satan said, "Good, I will choose them too, but to curse them."  God gave the Promised Land to the Jewish people.  Satan said, "I will rob it.  I will steal it away."  God created Jerusalem, Yerushalaim to be the City of Peace.  Satan said "No, I will make it the city of bloodshed."  God chose the temple mount to be holy under his name.  Satan seeks to desecrate it, to create an abomination that causes desolation right at that spot.

See this is--why?  Because God has a plan for Jews and a plan for the land, and a plan for Jerusalem and a plan for the temple mount, and Satan has the exact opposite plan.  If God had chosen the Japanese to sovereignly bring the gospel through, then Satan would have uniquely hated the Japanese.  If the Brazilians, okay, God chose the Jews--rather really and I say this as a Rosenberg, an insignificant people.

I mean God says in the Old Testament, we're not the most people on the earth.  I mean if God was going to choose most, he would have chosen the Chinese.  My wife and I have four children, but when we had three and she was pregnant with the fourth, one of our friends said, "Well, prepare yourself because your next child is going to be Chinese."  We said "Chinese?  Why do you say that?"  "Well, one in four children in the world are Chinese, so therefore--"

And God obviously didn't choose us for our height, he would have chosen Skip and his people to be the chosen people. So, obviously, God just chose us sovereignly for whatever reason, but because God chose Jews, Satan said, "Fine, that's the target."

Now, at 1 Chronicles 21, it's an interesting text.  1 Chronicles 21, it's interesting to start in its full context, but there's one verse, the 1 Chronicles 21, Verse 1, that's just noteworthy in the context of what we're saying right now.  "Then Satan stood up against Israel and moved David to number Israel."  God told David not to do a census.  Why?  So that David wouldn't think, "Oh good, I have all these troops then I will trust in my troop strength rather than in the Lord."

Okay, the Lord didn't want him to know all that he had.  He didn't want to add it all up, but Satan moved--stood up against Israel and he moved David, a Jewish leader to do something against what God had told him to do.  Why?  Because that's who Satan is, he is standing up against Israel.  He is trying to destroy Jewish leaders.  He is trying to destroy God's plan and purpose.  That's who he is and when we understand it, things become a little clear.

Revelation Chapter 12--I know you're moving quickly with me, stay with me, Revelation Chapter 12.  There's a very interesting passage because it talks about the centrality of Israel in the last days.  People say, "Well, God is done with the Jews and that's Old Testament, but the New Testament--" no, we've covered that in the first two messages, but let's look at Revelation Chapter 12, beginning in Verse 1.

"A great sign appeared in heaven.  A woman clothed with the sun and the moon under her feet and on her head, a crown of twelve stars.  And she was with child and she cried out being in labor and in pain to give birth.  Then another sign appeared in heaven and behold, a great red dragon having seven heads and 10 horns and on his heads were seven diadems and his tail swept away a third of the stars of heaven and threw them to the earth.  And the dragon stood before the woman who is about to give birth so that when she gave birth, he might devour her child.  And she gave birth to a son, a male child who is to rule all the nations with a rod of iron and her child was caught up to God and to his throne.  Then the woman fled into the wilderness where she had a place prepared by God, so that she would be nourished for 1260 days."

Now, for time's sake, I'm going to hit a few other pieces, so we tie this thing together.  Look at Verse 9.  "The great dragon was thrown down.  The serpent of old who is called the Devil and Satan who deceived the whole world.  He was thrown down to the earth and his angels were thrown down with him."

Now, come with me down to Verse 13.  "And when the dragon saw that he was thrown down to earth, he persecuted the woman who gave birth to the male child."  And now, Verse 17,  "So the dragon was enraged with the woman and went off to make war with the rest of her children who keep the commandments of God and hold to the testimony of Jesus."

Now, I encourage you to study the entire Chapter of Revelation 12.  My goal here in skipping around is only for time's sake, not to leap critical pieces out.  So, I encourage you to go line by line, verse by verse through Revelation Chapter 12.  While you're at it, do the entire book of Revelation.  Skip's got a great book coming out next year on the Book of Revelation.  I think it will be very helpful, because a lot of people say, "No Revelation, who can understand that?  Women and children and dragons, I mean, come on, really."

I mean, nobody takes this stuff seriously, why do you?  And even if you took it seriously, who can understand that?  And even if you did understand it, it's all gobbledygook and God doesn't really--it's all Al Gore, called metaphor, called blah, blah.  Listen, it's not that difficult.  But, you have to understand how to slow down and study the text carefully.

Now, this woman, who is this woman?  Well, she's described in Verse 1 as being clothed with the sun and the moon under her feet and on her head, a crown of 12 stars.  And a lot of people like, "Exactly.  That doesn't mean anything brother!  I mean come on!  Don't get all hopped up on stuff that you can't understand."  Okay, wait, hold on.

Genesis 37, in Genesis 37, Jacob who was renamed Israel by the Lord himself has these children.  One of them is named Joseph.  Joseph has a dream and let's take a look at the dream, Verse 9.  Now, Joseph had still another dream and he related it to his brothers.  Who were these brothers?  These are the children of Israel, right?  These are the Twelve Tribes.  And Joseph says, "Lo, I've had another dream, and behold, the sun and the moon and the eleven stars were bowing down to me."

Why were there are only eleven?  Because he's the twelfth, right?  So--"And they bowed down to me."  Now, you know the story enough to know, that didn't go well for Joseph, but it didn't mean it wasn't true.  It just means his brothers freaks out.  "You've got to be kidding me.  We're all bowing down to you?"  But what does this tell us?  See, God has already--from the first book of the Bible, Genesis, giving us a picture that Israel and his family are sun, moon and twelve stars.  That's one of the images of Israel.

There are other images that the Bible uses, that God uses to describe the Jewish people, the nation of Israel, the olive tree, at times the fig tree.  There's a number of them, but this is one that's actually very interesting because it's the first book of the Bible, and by the last book of the Bible, this reference is given.

Now, if you don't know the Bible, it doesn't mean anything to you, but if you do know the Bible, you see that God is tying this thing together from the beginning to the end, from the Alpha to the Omega and the woman is the nation of Israel.

Now, the nation of Israel has a child, a male child.  Who is this male child?  Verse 5, "This male child is to rule all the nations with a rod of iron and then this child be caught up to God and to his throne."  Well, this is pretty clear.  This is the Lord Jesus, that the nation of Israel, the Jewish people gave birth to a Messiah, a male Messiah who would not only be the Messiah, but then would be caught up to heaven and reign from heaven and eventually, for a thousand years here on earth.

Now, who is the dragon?  Well, that's the easiest one, right?  Because God's like, "I'm not even going to try to get you to figure this out yourselves.  I'm just going to say it right out there."  Verse 9, for those of who are like, "Lord, just put the cookies on the lower shelf, okay?  Revelations are difficult enough.  Could you just please, dragons, I mean help us out here."  And he does, even before we ask, he answers.

The great dragon that was thrown down is the serpent of old, who is called the Devil and Satan.  So, it's pretty clear now.  The woman is Israel, the Jewish people, the nation of Israel and the Jewish people out of them comes the Messiah and Satan hates both of them.  When the woman has the child and this is the story of Christmas.  What happens?  Satan tries to devour the child.  I mean literally, King Herod tries to kill every male child born under the age of two in the Bethlehem area.

This was literally fulfilled and we see that battle because Satan hates Israel, and he hates the Messiah and he hates anyone that loves Israel and everyone that hates the Messiah.  This is the story of Revelation Chapter 12, probably the fastest you've ever heard it taught.  Nevertheless, I encourage you study it on your own because when you do, it reinforces this idea that this is why the world hates Israel and the Jewish people because God loves them and Satan hates them and there's really no other explanation.

And then you go through all of end time's prophecy, Revelation 16, when Satan is gathering all the forces of the earth to come to Armageddon, to destroy Israel once and for all.

Now by the way, I encourage you, Skip and I are going to Israel.  We're going to do an Epicenter Conference next May.  Two days, Skip is going to be teaching Ray Bentley from Maranatha Chapel, Kay Arthur, Anne Graham Lotz, myself and several others speakers that we haven't announced yet, but we would love for you to come and be part of this.  And if you come on the Joshua Fund tour, which we've got information in the bookstore at the Joshua(ph) Table about the ministry, but also about the tour.  We'd love for you to come.

We're going to take you to Armageddon and because that's where it's all going to play out and I want to drive you pass, they literally built about two years ago, a McDonald's at Armageddon.

I'm not kidding.  How many of you have been to Israel?  Well, that's good, come with us.  Let me take you pass the McDonald's in Armageddon because apparently, if somebody has read to the end of the book and figured, "Well, all the nations, all the armies of the world will be there, they'll probably be hungry." Now, I don't know if they'll be loving it at that moment, but I'm just saying. Those fries might be a little overdone.  I'm just saying.

But see, Satan is going to the very end, the absolute very end, try to destroy every Jew and the nation of Israel.  And the scriptures are filled with this.  In fact, Daniel and Zechariah are very clear that the antichrist, demonically driven antichrist is literally going to invade the nation of Israel and conquer it in the last days and set up his throne, his pavilion in Israel.  Eventually, he's going to sit in the temple itself.

Now, why does this matter?  It matters because never before have the Jewish people and the nation of Israel felt so isolated, felt so threatened.  Now, I can see it in your eyes, some of you were thinking, "Let me just get this right.  Satan is driving the enemies of Israel and there could be some mass apocalyptic war next year, right?"  Right, "And you want us to go with you and Skip to Israel for this tour in this conference, right?" Right.  "Now Joel, I know you've been doing this Twelfth Imam Book Tour, you're traveling all over, going through California, maybe a little medicinal marijuana, I mean what is happening here?" I mean, I just want to say no and say that's not true.

Listen, if there are missiles inbound for Israel next May, that's what travel insurance is for, okay?

If the war is imminent, if it's about to start any moment, that's what travel insurance is for.  Skip and I are asking you to come into a hot zone, into a missile zone when the war is in motion.  That's not--now the Joshua Fund team will do that.  Why? Because that's our calling, to serve the people of Israel, to mobilize Christians, to bless Israel and her neighbors in the name of Jesus to provide food and clothing, medical supplies, other relief aid.  We have a store--set up seven storefronts that we distribute food through and other relief supplies, a warehouse that we rent in Central Israel.  We'll talk about this more tonight when we talk about How Can the Church Bless Israel and Her Neighbors in real and practical ways, and that will be the set up for the Q&A we do tonight.

We're not asking you to come if there's a war, but imagine this, what if the Lord staves off a war for a while because he wants his church to gather in Israel?  That he wants--while the rest of the world turns away from Israel and hates Israel, and abandons Israel and cuts her loose, that the true followers of Jesus Christ.

What if were to go up the one-way street against traffic?  What if we were to go towards Israel while the rest of the world went against her?  What if we were to worship the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords in The City of the Great King?  What if we were to pray for the piece of Jerusalem in Jerusalem?  What if we were to study through the Book of Joel, the real Book of Joel, not my books, the Book of Joel, line by line, verse by verse, three chapters in two days?  What does that book about?  That book is about the blow a trumpet in Zion for the day of the Lord is coming.  Surely it is near.

Now, if it was near when Joel was told to say it, I'm thinking it's a little nearer now.  And the nation of Israel needs to see the people who know the Word of God, who love the Word of God, who believes the Word of God, who obey the Word of God, who teach the Word of God to come and stand with them, to show them unconditional love and unwavering support at this critical hour.

I would encourage you, come find out information about it at the Joshua Fund booth or you can go online at Joshuafund.net.  I encourage you to come and if there are pastors or other ministry leaders here, you can take your own tour.  And we've got information at JoshuaFund.net, a memo on how you can come for free and as you bring--every 10 people that you bring, you can bring another staff person or a spouse with you.  We want delegations of people to come to Israel for this two-day Epicenter Conference and the tour that will surround it.  We want you to step into the story.

At the moment when the world is turning against Israel, shouldn't true followers of Jesus Christ bless Israel and the Jewish people with the everlasting, unconditional love [Applause] of the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob?  Shouldn't we want them to know God in a real and personal way like we do?  Shouldn't we want them to have eternal security and know beyond the shadow of a doubt that they're going to heaven when they die?

Shouldn't we affirm God's love and good news for them?  Shouldn't we affirm God's special place and plan and purpose for them?  Shouldn't we stand with them and defend them against all attacks, foreign and domestic, especially at this critical moment when the Lord is coming back and we know it and not everyone in that region does.

This is the mission of the Joshua Fund.  This is my personal calling and my wife and my children.  We have four children, Caleb, Jacob, Jonah and little Noah, 16, 14, 12 and 6.  And people say, "A little gap there, six years, why did you have a Noah?"  Well, because Jesus said in Matthew 24 that he's not coming back again until the days of Noah.  So, we thought, if we're holding him back, we'd better have a little Noah.  And as our family looks at what the scripture say and what's happening in the world, and if the Lord is coming back, we feel drawn even more to go and serve with humility and gentleness, the people of Israel and her neighbor in the name of Jesus, and we want you to be part of that as well.

Let's close in prayer and then bring Skip out.  Father, thank you so much for your love and mercy.  Thank you that while Satan is trying to destroy what you've built and created that you are not going to let that happen ultimately and you've called us to intercede, to learn what you're doing there, to pray for the people there, to give to the work there, to go and see what you're doing and serve there.

Lord, help us be faithful to you, a Jewish Messiah who came to Israel, died in Israel, rose again in Israel and is coming back to Israel.  It's not that you don't love the neighbors.  I look forward to teaching that next message in the next service, but Lord, I thank you that you do love the Jewish people and the nation of Israel, and you command us too as well.  May you bless this congregation as they individually figure out, Lord, what do you want me to do in response to this truth.  We pray these things in the name of our great Lord and savior and soon, coming King, Jesus Christ.  Amen.

How Jesus prays for us
John 17
Bill Holdridge
Info
Message Summary
Ever wonder why or how Jesus prays for us and that if we know He does, how should we really be acting and thinking? Our guest speaker Pastor Bill brings out the vital points of prayer teaching how Jesus prays for us. The Apostles and Disciples hear the beautiful words of their master as Jesus speaks to His Father about us. As we hear and read the prayers of Jesus we must never forget that Jesus is full of thoughts of us and He will be praying for those who love him. So, do you want to know what Jesus prays for you?

Tom Stipe
Info
Message Summary
Paul was a man who went to the people; he did not wait for the people to come to him. Are you waiting for those to hear you preach or teach or are you willing to go out and bring the gospel to men? Senior Pastor Tom Stipe of Crossroads Church in Denver brings us a vital message from the book of ACTS concerning our approach in preaching the gospel and uses Paul as the example of how a single man brought the gospel to folks in his sphere of influence. Pastor Tom challenges us to not be afraid or have fear when we do preach the gospel. Are you willing to step out and be confronted by the public, friends or loved ones? God did through Jesus, so why not you?

Pastor Dave shares from the book of I Corinthians, Chapter 13, breaking down the elements of love. If there is one thing you can count on concerning love, it is that Love Never Fails. Psalms 46
Don McClure
Info
Message Summary
God tells us to be still and to know that He is God. Do you rest in Him when the storms come, or do you run to the confines of your mind to figure things out? David knew God and the peace and rest that can be found in Him. Pastor Don McClure reminds us of a different world where we should dwell as we grow in our understanding of the things God would have us to do in times of trouble. Psalm 46:10 tells us to be still and know that He is God. Are you too busy to know God on a deep level or do you dwell in the throne room of your Lord and receive His strength for your refuge? God has a plan for you and it can only be for good. Step into His world and know Him.

Does God Speak Today?
Psalms 19
Scott Richards
Info
Message Summary
Does God really speak to us? If so, how does this happen? If it does happened, how do I know what He's saying? These are good questions and a young King David learned the answers to these questions in God's outdoor classroom. God speaks to us in a still small voice and gives us His word to confirm His love for us. You can know that God does speak to us today by becoming His child and reading His word. In these ways we can see how God leads us from glory to glory. So, how about you? Are you tuning in on the right frequency or are you still dialing through the world of stations?

Behavior vs. Bravado
1 John 2:3-11
Dave Row
Info
Message Summary
Some questions are hard to ask sometimes, especially if those questions are directed at us. Questions like "Do we really love God?", "How do we know we love God?", and "What does it look like to love God?" can really be tough. Many good men strive to do what is right, but unless we know God and we follow His commandments we do not know the truth. John writes words aimed at helping us understand the free will choice we have to make daily to love God. So, if you really want to understand what it means to have a deep love for God or to know where you stand, just listen to what John has to say to us through the Holy Spirit.

Samson - a life of Compromise
Judges 13-16
Brian Michaels
Info
Message Summary
What does it take to keep a promise or vow? Do we really understand the commitment of keeping our words? In the book of Judges Samson clearly demonstrates that he neither understood nor took seriously the instructions of his parents concerning the keeping of the Nazirite vow. We will see that compromise leads to more compromise and ultimately to our demise. But God is gracious and if we repent and turn from our evil ways God will, as He did with Samson, grant us grace. So, when you sign that paper, say those words, or make that promise…, be sure you understand what it's all about.

Info
Message Summary
As a believer, are you ready to choose between the passing pleasures of sin or staying the course even if you are called to suffer? The way you live your life is a testimony to the internal nature of your convictions. Any way that leads away from the Lord leads to destruction. This world and its destructive lusts will come to an end, but one who is continually doing the will of God has a front row seat to eternity. Where is your seat located, in the aisle of destruction or on the front row or eternity?

The Power of a Resurrected Life
Philippians 3:10
Dave Row
Info
Message Summary
What power do you know of that can raise a person from the dead and then give a promise to do the same for you? We all were dead in our sins, but through the resurrection of Christ we now have the re-birth needed to live. Paul writes to the Philippians about the Power of a Resurrected Life as part of the knowledge we need to live a life before those who do not know Jesus. Paul showed us, as Christ did, that to live is to die and to die is to live only through a resurrected life. There is power we can know only if we know the One who bore our sins and gave us eternal life. If you want to know that power, the Apostle Paul has some words for you.

The Children of God pt. 1 - Godly Living
1 John 3:1-9
Dave Row
Info
Message Summary
How would you describe the state of your family life? Is it close, comforting, and encouraging? Or is it not quite what you had always hoped for? As Christians, we are part of God's family, the family of all families. We are bathed in His love and have access to all of the benefits of being His children. But if we abandon His invitation to join this family we automatically become members of the family of sin and there simply are no benefits associated with this family. So think about which family portrait you would like to be part of – God's Family Portrait or Sin's Family Portrait.

The Divine Code
2 Timothy 3:16-17
Dave Row
Info
Message Summary
All of us have read books and some of those books stirred our hearts but did you know that the Bible can stir your heart to know and understand the deep truths of God? In II Timothy we read that all scripture is given by the inspiration of God and is profitable for doctrine, correction, reproof and instruction in righteousness. Why? So that we may know how to dispel false doctrine and equip others to stand in the faith they have been given. What do you think about the word of God and do you believe that all scripture is given by the inspiration of God? Timothy writes to us by the Holy Spirit that we can know and be assured that the word of God is the Word of God…, and that's a fact you can believe and know, so get into the word and live.

All of God's love is for us and in us, so if you really want to know God's love you must abide in Him and He will abide in you. Yes, God is for you and loves you completely, but, will you let Him?

Every day of our life is full of opportunity. Some of these opportunities are acted upon, while some are missed. More importantly, some of these opportunities have the possibility of changing the eternal destination of someone close to you. As you begin each day, remember the responsibility you have to seize every opportunity God gives you to make a real difference in someone's life. If you fail to do so, the consequences just might be eternal for a friend or loved one. Join Pastor Raul Ries as he encourages us rise up out of our complacency and make a real impact on the lives of those around us.

The Ministry of Reconciliation
2 Corinthians 5:14-21
Chip Lusko
Info
Message Summary
There are times when life seems full of disappointment, strife, hurt, and severed or damaged relationships. Each person has a choice to make when faced with these types of disappointments, to follow a path of vengeance or to opt for the path of reconciliation. As believers who choose the path of reconciliation, realize that we are not alone as we travel this path. We have the hand of God helping and directing us along the way. Join Pastor Chip Lusko as he delves deeper into this topic of reconciliation and what it truly means to be an ambassador for the King.

A new song for a new season
Psalm 40
Bill Welsh
Info
Message Summary
Ever wonder how much God thinks about you? Do you know the thoughts God has about you and what God wants for you? King David wrote many Psalms and in these Psalms, David expressed the times of His life so we may know the heart of a man that God calls, "a man after God's own heart". As we wait for the Lord and cry out to Him and trust Him, God will bring you up and out of anything you may be facing, so, take heart and be of good cheer for your God is on the move!!!!..., think about it.

Witnesses of the Truth
1 John 5:6-13
Dave Row
Info
Message Summary
Have you overcome the world? Do you know how to overcome the world? Is your family strong enough to overcome the world? The Apostle John writes in First John Chapter 5 concerning how we can know that we have overcome the world. But what is it to really do just that? John says, it is our faith in God and in His Son Jesus Christ that overcomes the world. The question here is; do you know who God is and His Son or do you just know of Him? Your family will get you through this life but only Jesus can bring you beyond this world to His Father and all of it by His love, do you want this love or will you turn and trust in your worldly family? Think about it.

A Bridge Of Hope
Mark 9:36-37
K.P. Yohannan
Info
Message Summary
How do you see you're self in the eyes of God, as little children or as one needing to become one? We all have a need to be loved and taken care of and Jesus is able to do that, Jesus told a story that is repeated in three of the four gospels about taking a child in His arms. This story is asking you to be that child and to see others as little children who are seeking a father, the Father. So, are you being taught by the Holy Spirit as a little child or are you too old for that…, think about it.

Praying 101
1 John 5:13-15
Dave Row
Info
Message Summary
Do you believe that God hears you or do you just believe God does not want to hear from you? If God hears you do you really believe God will grant what you ask of Him? The Apostle John in 1 John 5, writes to us concerning having confidence that if we ask anything in His name (Jesus) He will hear us. Is that really true? John knows it to be and so can you. God wants you to know that He is available to you anytime and for any reason…, you just have to come and ask. So, as you think about this ask God to show you and you will see that God is able to do all things for you according to His will, but it all start with meeting, asking and believing in Him.

Sin, Death and Idols
1 John 5:16-21
Dave Row
Info
Message Summary
Sin affects us all and without the knowledge of God's word we would not know sin and be lost. John writes in chapter 5 concerning sin and how we are to understand sin and its nature. Sin all started with pride in Lucifer and in the disobeying of Eve and Adam but all sin can be dealt with by one simple act…, repentance. Are you in a state of sin or are you in the loving peace and care of Christ? God calls us to be set free from sin and live free. So will you accept God's gift or grace or will you hold onto what you think is right?

Rewind, Remember, Resolve
1 John 5:18-21
Dave Row
Info
Message Summary
Abiding in Christ will keep you from the wicked one for God wants us to understand Him and know that we are born of God. Are you born of God? Can you really say, I am His and He is mine? This is the confidence we have in Christ, that Jesus died and rose again by the will of God and in this we who believe are born of God. John writes to us in 1 John 5 concerning who we are in Christ and how we can and do know that we belong to God. So, have you learned that your faith overcomes the world or are you still looking to the things of the world and its wisdom to help you overcome? Know this, God is yours, you only need to ask and receive Christ, will you?

Character in Conflict - When Motives Collide
3 John
Dave Row
Info
Message Summary
How often do you spread the news of someone you know who is walking in Christ that is having a great impact on others to the strengthening of the faith of many? In Third John the elder Apostle gives us two great examples of men who have kept the faith in unselfishness, impacting many to Christ. But John also exposes a man who thinks of himself first instead of bringing Christ to light. These people are selfish, prideful and without wisdom, from these put yourself at distance. Do you spread the faith in humility putting the light on Christ or are you keeping the praise for yourself putting light on you?

Why Redeem the Time?
Ephesians 5:15-17

Message Summary
We often have a pretty good grasp of how fleeting time can be. In this day and age of waxing philosophical, moral relativism, and a church that gives in to the pressures of the world, we need a firm grasp of how and why we must redeem the time. As we consider Ephesians 5:15-17, we'll be reminded that time is short—we need to be wise, walk in the light, use our minds, and understand that God has a plan for our lives.

Eternal Life: The Deepest Yearning of the Human Heart
John 17:1-5
Sean McDowell
Info
Message Summary
There are different ways of knowing. We can know "that," and have an understanding of something; we can know "how," and experience something; and we can know "personally," and have a relationship with someone. In John 17:1-5 we will dissect a portion of Jesus' prayer to His Father, before being handed over to crucifixion. In this passage we learn that Jesus' suffering and death would reveal the glory, or character of His Father, and that through His death and resurrection, we can know God. Knowing God is intimate and personal, and by studying what it is to know God, we'll understand that eternal life comes from being in relationship with the only true God.

Wholehearted Devotion
Mark 14:3-9
Alistair Begg
Info
Message Summary
She did what she could—her gift of costly nard in an alabaster flask was broken and poured out to prepare Jesus for his burial. But the disciples condemned her—scolded her for the extravagant gift. Is that how we view those who are extravagantly sold out to Christ? Through this text, we learn from her sacrifice and Jesus' commendation to the heart of what we do be done in extravagant devotion to God.

Life has its highs and lows. When we are at our lowest, who can we count on to answer the deep, anguished cry of our heart? Who can we call when things become so painful, we can't even believe it's real? David would tell us that there is One who neither slumbers nor sleeps, One who is ready and able to answer our call.

Sinners in the Hands of an Angry Leader
Numbers 20:1-13
Neil Ortiz
Info
Message Summary
As a follower of Jesus, how are you representing God? In Numbers 20:1-13, the people contended with Moses and Aaron. They did not trust God and the leadership He appointed. Likewise, Moses and Aaron allowed their anger and frustration to control them. They rebelled against the Lord and misrepresented Him to the people. As we consider this text, we learn that as ambassadors for Christ, we must be gracious and submissive both in our leadership and in our following.

A Mother’s Influence
K.P. Yohannan
Info
Message Summary
As we celebrate Mother's Day with the wives, daughters, sisters, and mothers all around us, K. P. Yohannan paints a portrait of his mother and the influence that she had, both in her family and in India. We catch just a tiny glimpse of a country with 62 million child laborers suffering on the streets and millions of mothers who have never heard of our Jesus to whom they can take their children. K. P.'s mother would say, "Our greatest privilege is to love people."

Message Summary
The Jewish scribes had such great reverence for God's Word that it was of the utmost importance to preserve the Scriptures accurately. They took great measures—memorizing 4,000 laws before they could begin to write—to ensure it would be copied, pronounced, and interpreted precisely. Josh McDowell presents to us one of the rarest scrolls in the world, called the Lodz Torah Scroll, showing us that God will always provide the means for His sacred Word to be available to His church.

How to be a Hero of Faith
Hebrews 11

Message Summary
In Hebrews 11, we read testimonies of men and women who demonstrated extraordinary faith. When God commanded them to do something, they obeyed. From their examples, we learn that in our weaknesses, we are made strong, faith requires courage to face difficulties, and obeying the Lord is about using the faith we have rather than the amount of faith we possess.

As believers, we can never outgrow the gospel—when we think we have, we are actually moving backwards. Paul's letter to the Romans was a treatise explaining the good news of Jesus Christ, and the recipients were saints! In this refreshing study, we are reminded about the power and love that was displayed on the cross, and how our Lord Jesus Christ has conquered all!

Your Life: an Epic Fail Compilation or an Epic Feat?
Genesis 37-50

Info
Message Summary
Time and time again, Joseph encountered hardships that were not his doing: harsh treatment, betrayal, false accusation, and apathy. But Joseph was always mindful of God and remained obedient despite the unfairness he met. We learn it was his reverence of God that gave Him peace to get through every situation—and God raised him from a slave to the second in command over all of Egypt. His life seemed to be an epic fail, but as we study his reactions, we see how God turned his life into an epic feat.

Message Summary
Peter called his fellow believers to be holy and reinforced this exhortation with an Old Testament command from the Lord. Today, there are many who walk in darkness—even believers—but as we study 1 Peter 1:15-16, we are reminded to live honorable and holy lives for the Lord. Let's consider what Scripture says about holiness, glean from examples of strong believers who came before us, and learn about the reasons for living a holy life.

Luke 15:11-31

Jesus' parable about the prodigal son is one of the most well-known parables from the Bible. But as we discover who Jesus' specific audience was, we learn that the son's warm welcoming by his father isn't the only—or even main—message Jesus was communicating. In this study of Luke 15:11-32, we learn about three types of relationships with the Father: the rebellious, repentant, and religious.

How To Live The Blessed Life
Bob Shank
Info
Message Summary
As we search the Scriptures to find out God's thoughts about generosity, we discover that we are called to make giving an integral part of our lives. Through two passages from both the Old and New Testament, we see how generosity is a call to obedience from the Lord as well as a demonstration of faith on our part. When we give generously, we become more and more like God as He blesses us, and the world can see that our God is alive and moving.

Message Summary
In Matthew 7:21-29, Jesus told a story about two men who had built duplicate houses, but there was one critical difference: the foundations. Jesus used this story to call out the imposters who claimed to be His followers. In this study, we are reminded that God has a building code for our lives and His Word is our blueprint. We must carefully consider if we're building on the unshakeable foundation of Jesus Christ.

Up until the last several decades, the world has taught that truth exists, but we've seen the rise of relativism in our society since then. Because Jesus talked a lot about truth in the Bible, this issue should be important to believers. Message Summary
When we think of the twelve apostles, we sometimes get the idea that they were an elite, holy group of men who effortlessly followed Jesus. But as we study Matthew 10:1-4, we see that almost the opposite is true. While they did have dedication in following Christ, they didn't have it all together, and they made mistakes along the way. In this message, Pastor Nate Heitzig explains how God used even this ragtag group of men to radically change the world, showing that God wants to take us as we are and transform us so we can also impact the world.

Uprising of Love
1 Corinthians 13:4-7
Nate Heitzig
Info
Message Summary
People are constantly finding new causes to rally behind, but we can't change society then expect people to get better. In fact, Jesus claimed the opposite—people must change before society can get better—and He demonstrated that by loving the unlovable and caring for the rejected. Pastor Nate Heitzig challenges us to be part of the uprising of love as he explains what that means and how we can live it out.

Like Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego in the book of Daniel, these new believers are fearless. Jesus is right there, standing with them, and the fiery furnace of today is the growing threat of Islamic terrorism.

Spring Cleaning
Romans 12:1-2
Chip Lusko
Info
Message Summary
“I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service. And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God” (Romans 12:1-2). “If we truly want God to reveal Himself to us and His purpose and plan for our lives, we need to be empty of our own agenda and set aside our own preconceived ideas. God will never force His way into our lives. His desire is to transform our hearts and renew our minds to reflect His character and wrapped in unselfish love towards one another. He cannot fill us with ‘Him-self’ and His attributes if we are already full of ‘our-self’.” —C.S. Lewis

The Bible is the best-selling, most overlooked and underutilized book of all time. God didn't write it simply as a compilation of bedtime stories and coffee mug promises. The good news is that since God's Word is alive, if we slow down and listen, we can hear the pulse of God's Word, pointing us back to God Himself. After all, the Bible isn't about us; it's about Him.

There Is Room
Luke 7:36-50
Taylor Bronisz
Info
Message Summary
There is room for everyone at the feet of Jesus. When Jesus was eating at the house of Simon the Pharisee, a woman interrupted their dinner. Simon and his guests saw themselves as self-righteously superior to this woman and did not make room for her or truly welcome Jesus into their hearts. The woman, on the other hand, realized her desperate need for forgiveness and life change—and she left with a new identity and renewed future.

A Picture Is Worth a Thousand Words
Revelation 1:12-18
Brian Nixon
Info
Message Summary
A picture can portray an idea as quickly, effectively, and profoundly as the written word. But what did Jesus look like? In the absence of a photograph or true portrait, what do artistic renderings of Jesus communicate? In this message, Pastor Brian Nixon compares earthly portraits of Christ with John's heavenly vision of Christ from the first chapter of Revelation.

Making the Right Decision
Luke 16:19-31
Raul Ries
Info
Message Summary
The body of Christ loves people and wants every person to spend eternity in heaven rather than hell. In this teaching from Luke 16, Pastor Raul Ries invites us to consider the decisions we're making in our lives and ask, What should I be doing in life as I get closer to death? Seeking after God should be the number one priority in our lives, but in order to seek His kingdom we first must be in the kingdom—and that requires us to make a decision for Christ.
